After completing her undergraduate work at the College of
New Jersey, Dr. Aufiero attended St. George’s University School
of Medicine and then did residencies for preliminary medicine at
New York Hospital of Queens and for physical medicine and
rehabilitation at the Kessler Institute. Dr. Aufiero is Board
Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation.
Dr. Aufiero did research and gave presentations at the Kessler
Institute and other locations. Topics included “Chronic Low
Back Pain and Accupuncture: A Review” and “The Beneficial
effects of Deep Breathing Techniques in Home Exercise Programs
Increases Patient Compliance and Reduces Stress” and more. She
has lectured about many related subjects including “Diagnosis
and Treatment of Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction” and “Applying
Functional Anatomy of the Cervical Spine and Glenohumoral Joint
in Specific Yoga Postures.” Dr. Aufiero is on staff at Brotman
Hospital and Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center.
Dr. Aufiero belongs to the Academy of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation, American Academy of Pain Management, and the
California Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
